Founded in 1920 to manufacture tyres for the aircraft industry, Palladium began producing footwear in France during the late 1940s. Adopting the same construction techniques as their original business – by layering canvas bands and rubber – Palladium honed their expertise and began making boots. Their first commission was from the French Foreign Legion, who at the time were based in the desert plains of North Africa. They needed a durable, lightweight and comfortable boot that was breathable in a hot and unforgiving climate. The Pampa Hi remains a timeless, classic design, and will be offered in suede as part of the 30th Anniversary BlueBlack Collection.
